Being mommy

I have to say I was a bit nervous about being home with two kids but so far I am loving it! I was overwhelmed for like a minute but then I established a routine and it seems to be going pretty good. Granted Mr. Clean has been with me this whole week. I don't know about your husbands but mine seems not to realize that I need help sometimes... he waits until I ask him to do something instead of looking around and seeing that I am one person and two babies are crying! I guess I can't complain... my house is clean and the laundry is almost all finished from the week. I do have a built in maid so that's a lot less I have to do.

Today is the first day I am on my own and I think I am doing a good job. I haven't showered yet but no one is here to smell me but my kids and they love me anyway. My shower will come when Laney takes her nap and Baby NoNo is fed and snoozing yet again.

On a side note, I have received great meals from you all! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Oh and to my mother in law... Laney thanks you for the flan!

What I've learned is that, in a man's world, it is akin to an insult to offer help or start helping without being asked. The honorable thing to do is wait to be asked. It's so opposite from women, huh?

I have been told that I need to:
#1 Ask
#2 Make a List of Things I'd Like Done
or (My Favorite)
#3 Let stuff like laundry or dishes get a little out of control and then he'll do them.

My "help" lasted for about a week. :)

BTW--Can you email me so I have your email address to send you the invite for the Chili Cook-Off?

Friend, you are truly amazing! I thought perhaps your blog would suffer during this krazy season of glorified mommyness. But instead, what do I find? a cool new design, a new post & new pics! you rock!

How do you do it all? You must be an octopus!

Hugs to NoNo and Laney Bug!

ps- if you want me to come by your house a half hour before work and watch the babies so you can shower, just call my cell the night before, ok?

Love your new look - spiffy and eye-catching!

Sorry we didn't get to connect over the weekend. But I did send you a big hug from me thru Eileen - did you get it after church? :)
